What genre should I sing in if I'm a baritone?

I'm having vocal lessons now and I asked my vocal teacher which genre
I should sing in and she told me that if I sing acoustic songs, it'll
be nice but I prefer Pop rock.. Probably genres like Boys Like Girls,
All Time Low and maybe All American Rejects and Red Jumpsuit
Apparatus?
Is it possible to sing in these other genres except the acoustic
genre?

My vocal teacher told me that I'm a baritone as well but I'm trying to
widen my vocal range with the help of my teacher~
